The arrival of Lucas Paqueta is just the beginning, AC Milan will make other top level signing in the central midfielder position very soon.
Lucas Paqueta is AC Milan’s first signing for January. But the young Brazil star will not be the last purchase of the Rossoneri in the winter transfer window. As reported by Il Corriere dello Sport, in fact, the arrival of Flamengo’s playmaker will not rule out further reinforcements. The idea of the Rossoneri club would be to buy at least one other important element to make Gattuso’s group even more competitive.
ITALIAN TALENT – Paqueta is a very offensive player but Milan would also need a midfielder with different characteristics. A man of order that can help Lucas Biglia take a rest and – why not – also be able to replace Frack Kessie. According to CorSport, at the top of Gattuso’s wish list there would be Nicolo Barella of Cagliari. The Rossoblu club, however, would prefer to keep the boy until the end of the season, unless a tempting offer arrives.
The 21 year old Italian has amazed with his performances and in the last three seasons, despite the young age, has collected 74 appearances in Serie A. Expectations for Barella are huge and the player seems more then ready for a new adventure at a top club. The cost of the bright central midfielder is at around 30-35 million euros. Elliot is willing to spend but there could another option out there and it would nothing.
LOW COST SIGNING – Another player who arouses the interest of the Rossoneri is Aaron Ramsey. The Welshman has refused to sign a renewal with Arsenal, so he will be available for free next summer. Nonetheless sporting director Leonardo would have a rather different plan.
The Red and Blacks do not want to wait for the summer and will make an attempt to land Ramsey in January. The Arsenal star will be on the market at very advantageous figures because it represents the last chance of the London club to get something for one of the best midfielders in Premier League. Furthermore, Leonardo is counting on the assistance of new CEO Ivan Gazidis. The Rossoneri management is already in contact with the Aaron Ramsey’s entourage and Gazidis’ intervention could be decisive.
