MN: AC Milan project summer revolution for the right wing

AC Milan’s right wing is set to undergo a revolution this summer with several player expected to move in and out.

It’s the most crucial moment of the season for the season. AC Milan are close to winning the first Scudetto title in 11 years. Off the pitch the club is expected to be sold with either Investcorp or RedBird Captial set to become the new owner of the club. At the same time Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara are planning the upcoming mercato with a revolution likely to take place on the right wing according to MilanNews.it.

SAMU CASTILLEJO – The Spaniard, after refusing various destinations in the last summer session, is on the sidelines of the Rossoneri technical project. With his contract expiring in June 2023 in the summer he will leave permanently. Castillejo has several admirers in Spain with La Liga likely to be his next destination. He is on the market for a fee of €5 million.

ALEXIS SAELEMAEKERS – The 22-year-old right winger is appreciated a lot by Mr. Stefano Pioli. Alexis is in fact the Rossoneri’s player with the most appearances this season, 45 across all competitions. However, his growth process has been disappointing this season.

AC Milan are expected to make an important investment for a new right winger this summer. The Rossoneri number 56 may not “settle” for a supporting role and other clubs have began to circle. His departure could be the best for both parties. The Belgian would play regularly elsewhere while AC Milan could secure a healthy profit.

JUNIOR MESSIAS – If his two teammates are set to leave, Messias has the most chances to stay. The Brazilian is currently on loan and AC Milan have the option to make his transfer permanent for around 5.5 million. Crotone are relegated to Serie C and the Rossoneri could snatch a discount on the 30-year-old. So far, Messias has had a season of ups and downs with 6 goals in 30 appearances. Nevertheless, he has been much more productive in front of the goal than Castillejo and Saelemaekers.

BETWEEN DREAMS AND TAGETS – The only certainty is that the management want to give Mr. Pioli a very important name to strengthen the right wing, one of the few weak points of the squad, in terms of goals and assists. There is nothing concrete yet but Maldini already has a list of targets.

Marco Asensio is a very prestigious name, a technically excellent footballer who would also bring a considerable international experience to the team. The Spaniard has been a target for quite some time but at the moment there is nothing advanced. With just one year remaining on his contract with Real Madrid, Milan will make a fresh attempt for Asensio.

Another profile the Rossoneri really like is that of Domenico Berardi. Coach Pioli is a big admirer of the Sassuolo winger. Sassuolo’s asking price of 30 million is considered excessive. If the request were to drop then the Rossoneri would be ready. Noa Lang is another interesting option. At the moment, however, there are several profiles surveyed and monitored by the management. Only after the season is over will Milan start to make concrete moves for the new right winger.
