Napoli vs Milan, probable lineups

After the international break, Serie A football restarts and AC Milan resume at San Paolo against Napoli. Coach Montella aims to make several changes.

It could not have been a worst match for Vincenzo Montella’s Milan. After returning to victory against Sassuolo, the rossoneri will face Napoli at San Paolo. The most complicated away game of the year. However, the red and blacks can not afford to lose more points with direct competitors if the fourth place to achieve Champions League qualification remains a possibility. Points must be taken at any cost.

Montella will deploy the usual defense of three but with one change, Mateo Musacchio is expected to start instead of Zapata, alongside Leo Bonucci and Alessio Romagnoli. As always Gigio between the posts. The coach intends to make a “special” modification in midfield as a clear statement of rossoneri’s will to exit San Paolo with a positive result.

Vincenzo Montella Ricardo Rodriguez

Ricardo Rodriguez, despite the excellent performance with the Swiss national, will be left on the bench and Jack Bonaventura will start from the first minute. Conditioned by the recent injuries of Calhanoglu and Lucas Biglia, Montolivo and Locatelli will accompany Franck Kessie in the middle with Fabio Borini on the wing. Concerning the attack no changes are expected: As in the recent matches, Suso will support Kalinic. Both players are hopping to replicate their performances with their respective national teams.

NAPOLI (4-3-3): Reina; Hysaj, Albiol, Koulibaly, Mario Rui; Allan, Jorginho, Hamsik; Callejon, Mertens, Insigne

AC MILAN (3-5-2): G.Donnarumma; Musacchio, Bonucci, Romagnoli; Borini, Kessie, Montolivo, Locatelli, Bonaventura; Suso Kalinic
