Important formation changes for Milan-Udinese

AC Milan must quickly forget the disappointing performance against Sampdoria and concentrate on tomorrow’s important match against Udinese.

The defeat against Sampdoria is tough to digest especially considering the obvious penalty that was not awarded to AC Milan in the last minutes of the match. However, there is no time to mourn because tomorrow the Rossoneri host Udinese at San Siro.

Roma’s defeat against Napoli keeps Milan in fourth place just 2 points behind Inter. Now the team must give a powerful reaction on the pitch in front of the many supporters that are expected to fill San Siro. A good opportunity for Gennaro Gattuso’s side to turn the page and leave behind the many errors of the derby and ones against Sampdoria.

According to Il Corriere della Sera, on Tuesday, failure to win is not an option for Milan. With just 9 games remaining until the end of Serie A the Rossoneri must ears as many points as possible in order to qualify for Champions League. For Milan-Udinese, coach Gattuso will make a couple of changes that will hopefully have an impact on the final result.

Both Lucas Paqueta and Franck Kessie will be back from the first minute. The two players were on the bench against Sampdoria for different reasons. The Brazilian midfielder clearly needed some rest after having started in every match this year. The absence of Kessie instead was a punishment for his shameful behavior in the derby. Bakayoko completes the midfield.

Despite his huge mistake against Sampdoria, Rino trust Donnarumma so once again Gigio will protect the goal. Ricardo Rodriguez too is not having a good moment. The Swiss left-back was substituted after 45 minutes with Sampdoria and very likely he will stay on the bench for Milan-Udinese. Calabria could take his place with Andrea Conti on the right. What will happen with Hakan Calhanoglu is a mystery. His appearances in midfield is excluded but even in attack Samu Castillejo at the moment seems in advantage for a starting jersey.
