Milan lose star midfielder for one month
Injury woes continue for AC Milan. After Mattia Caldara and Davide Calabria, Gattuso has lost Lucas Biglia for at least one month.
If the injuries of Mattia Caldara and Davide Calabria weren’t enough now AC Milan must also deal with the absence of key midfielder Lucas Biglia for one month. Coach Gennaro Gattuso confirmed the Argentine’s injury in training today.
“Lucas has suffered an injury this morning. He has a gastrocnemius muscle problem, a recurrence of last year’s injury. We have to evaluate his condition but he will be out for a few games”.
The former Lazio star is one of the few untouchables of Gattuso. Lucas Biglia gives order and balance to the Rossoneri midfielder and replacing him is going to be a headache for Rino.
Jose Mauri and Andrea Bertolacci are not reliable while Bakayoko, Kessie and Bonaventura are not tactically suitable to replace Biglia. Many are hypothesising the possible return of former captain Montolivo.
The Italian central midfielder has not featured for the Rossoneri since last season. Not only that but Montolivo has not participated in any training session this year with reports claiming that he has fallen out of favor with coach Gattuso.
