OFFICIAL – AC Milan complete double signing

Although the Rossoneri are still waiting to know what will happen to their European perspective Mirabelli is more active than ever on the transfer market.

Despite problems with UEFA, Massimiliano Mirabelli continues his work on the market as usual. Now the sporting director has closed the purchase of two highly promising youngsters from Standard Liege.

The two young prospects were yesterday in Casa Milan to sign long-term contracts with the club. The first is Lillo Guarneri, 16-year old Belgian with Italian passport, goalkeeper of impeccable talent. The player was accompanied by his agent Silvano Martina (who is also the agent of Gigi Buffon) in Milano and for his signature the Rossoneri beat the competition of Inter and Juventus. The Red and Blacks paid 500 thousand euros for his transfer.

The other purchase is Alexandro Cavagnera, a 19 year-old defensive midfielder and a cousin of Guarneri. He also has an Italian passport.

Calciomercato.com reports that both players will join AC Milan U-19 squad of coach Alessandro Lupi. Unless AC Milan B is created in time then the two play in Serie C championship.
