Official – Romagnoli signs new contract with AC Milan

Despite links with Real Madrid and Juventus, Alessio Romagnoli has decided to renew his contract with AC Milan confirming his desire to stay at San Siro for a long time.

Alessio Romagnoli has extended his contract with the Club until 2022. It’s a strong message from the management, who continues to believe and invest in young players, anticipating the summer transfer market and securing one of our most talented Rossoneri and best future prospects.

This is the icing on top of the cake for Romagnoli’s season. The 23-year-old defender has always shown top class and elegance on the pitch: quality, grit and the capacity to perform well under pressure, never backing down. Renewing Alessio’s contract was a priority for CEO Marco Fassone and Sporting Director Massimiliano Mirabelli: said and done. It’s great news for coach Gattuso and all the Rossoneri fans. Romagnoli played more than 40 matches in the 2017/18 season, scored 3 goals and reached 100 appearances for AC Milan. A remarkable milestone for the class of ’95 player, who has now achieved an even more important and well-deserved goal.

While the player declared: “I thank the club for the renewal, as well as the coach and my agent Sergio. It was no problem finding an agreement with the club, we had closed everything a few months ago. Now we are on vacation, then we will return in July to prepare for a great upcoming season“.
