Pioli to make 3 changes for Milan vs Spezia

Coach Stefano Pioli will make three changes for AC Milan’s upcoming Serie A match against newly promote Spezia.

After last night’s sensational penalty lottery with Rio Ave, AC Milan are back to work in Italy preparing for the next Serie A match against Spezia scheduled for Sunday, at 18:00 CET.

According to reports by Sky Sport, Rossoneri coach Stefano Pioli is already thinking the ideal line-up to challenge the newly promoted Spezia at San Siro. A few days ago AC Milan loaned out Tommaso Pobega to Spezia. The Italian midfielder has already made his debut with Spezia but will likely start from the pitch against his former club.

Much of the starting eleven seen yesterday in the Europa League against Rio Ave will be confirmed, except for three players. Pioli is therefore considering a slight turnover between midfield and attack.

In midfield there will be more space for new arrival Sandro Tonali. The Italian talent will start from the first minute, as already seen in Crotone, in place of Ismael Bennacer who played 120 minutes plus penalties yesterday in Portugal.

In attack Brahim Diaz will be preferred over Castillejo, with Alexis Saelemaekers moving to the right. While Daniel Maldini, impalpable last night, should leave his spot to Rafael Leao, now back at full capacity.

AC MILAN (4-2-3-1): Donnarumma, Calabria, Kjaer, Gabbia, T. Hernandez; Kessie, Tonali, Saelemaekers, Calhanoglu, Diaz, Leao.

SPEZIA (4-3-3): Rafael, Ferrer, Chabot, Erlic, Marchizza, Bartolomei, Ricci, MAggiore, Verde, Galabinov, Gyasi.
