PSG make offer, Bennacer has release clause

Ismael Bennacer is one of the best performers of AC Milan this season and his displays have attracted the attention of PSG.

The very good season so far of Ismael Bennacer has not gone unnoticed. The 22-year-old defensive midfielder, who arrived last summer from Empoli, took a while to adapt but he has become a regular starter ever since.

The Algerian midfielder, elected best player of the last African Cup, has shown great qualities. The Rossoneri are obviously satisfied with the performances of the former Arsenal talent and want to focus on him for the future. However, the strong interest of PSG will certainly cause headaches for the Rossoneri.

Bennacer’s name is reportedly on the top of Leonardo’s list of transfer targets. The player, who so far has not shown any desire to leave the Rossoneri, has been scouted by PSG on several occasions.

PSG have made an offer in excess of 20 million euros for Ismael Bennacer, which obviously is not enough but the most important news from France is the presence of a release clause on Bennacer’s contract reports FootMercato (via MilanLive.it). The exact figure of the release clause is unknown.

Ismael Bennacer made 23 appearances until the Coronavirus outbreak. The defensive midfielder was signed for €16 million from Empoli in the summer. The current market value of the 22-year-old is around 40 million.
