Rangnick says no to AC Milan for one of his players

New Manchester United coach Ralf Rangnick has already rejected an attempt from AC Milan for one of his players.

AC Milan are apparently not happy with the performances of Fode Ballo-Toure. The French full-back arrived from Monaco to serve as the back-up of Theo Hernandez but has struggled to impress in Theo’s absence. For this reason the Rossoneri are looking on the market to find a new left-back.

British tabloid The Sun reports that AC Milan are interested in Manchester United left-back Alex Telles. The 28-year-old Brazilian defender has been in and out of the United team under the axed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer since his arrival in October 2020.

AC Milan have asked to sign Alex Telles on loan with the option to buy. However, Manchester United have refused the advances of the Italians because new coach Ralf Rangnick does not want to lose pieces in the January transfer window. The German intends to calmly evaluate all the elements of his squad.

A clear no from Rangnick for the club he almost joined one year ago. In the summer of 2020 the German almost became AC Milan’s new coach only for the Rossoneri to change their mind at the end and extend the contract of Stefano Pioli.

The Sun writes that Alex Telles is more likely to leave Manchester at the end of the season. The Red Devils aim to recoup the full 15 million euros transfer fee they paid to Porto in 2020. Luke Shaw has been the regular starter on the left at Old Trafford despite the impressive form of Telles during his Porto days.
