Real Madrid to sell Jovic at affordable fee for Milan

Real Madrid have put striker Luka Jovic on the market for a high fee that AC Milan can afford claims La Gazzetta.

Waiting to understand if there will still be room for Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the future of AC Milan, the Rosssoneri management are moving ahead of the next market session. Among the transfer goals of Milan there is certainly the signing of at least one centre forward, regardless whether Zlatan will stay or not.

The first name on AC Milan’s list is Real Madrid striker Luka Jovic. The 22-year-old has lost the trust of Los Blancos coach Zinedine Zidane and will leave when the summer transfer window opens. He was unable to unsettle Karim Benzema in leading the attack of Real Madrid.

The young striker was Ante Rebic’s teammate at Eintracht Frankfurt and shares the same agent with the Rossoneri winger. According to reports by La Gazzetta dello Sport, in long discussions with Milan to define the future of the Croatian winger (on loan until 2021), the parties also talked about Luka Jovic.

Real Madrid yesterday announced that Jovic broke his heel bone while exercising at home and is expected to stay out for at least two months. However, that hasn’t diminished the interest of AC Milan in his services. In addition, the 22-year-old striker is a perfect profile for the football philosophy that Ralf Rangnick wants to implement at the Rossoneri.

Real Madrid are open to sell Jovic but obviously the Spanish giants want to avoid a big loss on their striker. Last summer Real Madrid spent €60 million to purchase Luka Jovic from Eintracht Frankfurt.

According to reports from Spain, Real Madrid have put Jovic on the market for a fee of 40-50 million euros. La Gazzetta writes that AC Milan can afford to spend an important figure for the player. The two clubs can find the right formula letting Jovic join AC Milan on loan for two years with obligation to buy instead.
