Real Madrid star confirms AC Milan are an option for his future
The entourage of Marco Asensio confirms that AC Milan is an option for the future of the Real Madrid winger.
The Rossoneri will sign a new winger this summer. Junior Messias, Alexis Saelemaekers and Samuel Castillejo have given little contribution in the Scudetto fight this season forcing the management to look for improvements. On Paolo Maldini’s list of transfer targets there is the prestigious name of Real Madrid star Marco Asensio.
AC Milan are seriously interested in Asensio. The Rossoneri tried to acquire his services last season without success and will do the same this summer. Asensio’s agent confirms the recent contacts with AC Milan and admits that the Red and Blacks are a concrete option for the Spanish international.
“Milan’s interest is a source of pride, a future at AC Milan is an option for Asensio. There are also offers from a couple of English clubs including Arsenal, we are ready to evaluate every possibility“, said his entourage.
A player of Marco Asensio’s caliber would be a notable upgrade for the Rossoneri’s right wing. Italian fans remember him well for the Champions League final goal against Juventus but not only. The 26-year-old player has been on the spotlight from a young age and has been able to live with the great pressure and expectations of the Bernabeu. In fact, at AC Milan, Asensio would be the most titled player after Ibrahmovic.
A great advantage for Stefano Pioli’s side is the contract situation of the Spaniard. Asensio has only one year left with Real Madrid. SportMediaset reports Real Madrid are asking a fee of 25-30 million euros in order to part ways with Marco Asensio. A “low” figure considering Asensio’s true market value. The 26-year-old has scored 10 goals in 34 appearances with Los Blancos.
