Castillejo agent reveals why he snubbed Real Madrid and Sevilla for Milan
AC Milan’s new arrival Samu Castillejo was one of the most important signings of Leonardo this summer but he easily could have transferred to another Spanish club.
In August, AC Milan closed the summer shopping campaign with a double hit: Diego Laxalt and Samu Castillejo. The Spanish 23 year old winger was a target of the Rossoneri for some time and in the end, with an operation of 18 million euros plus Carlos Bacca, Leonardo managed to make it happen.
The colleagues of Calciomercato.com interviewed Rafa Zurro, agent of the new Rossoneri player, who has already made his official debut in the last 10 minutes against Roma. The agent explained how Castillejo is adapting at his new club: Samu is really very happy with how it’s going in his first spell at AC Milan. He was really impressed by what is happening in the Rossoneri world.
Castillejo at Milan has also found some old friends: “Yes, he’s a friend of Musacchio from their time at Villarreal. But he also knew Suso and several other teammates”. The agent explained that the goal of the player is to play as many games as possible.
He also revealed that there were several other teams on him besides the Rossoneri with Sevilla and Real Madrid as the two most interested clubs: “I can confirm that there were several clubs on him but Milan had followed him for a long time and did everything to buy him from Villarreal“.
