Suso reveals: “Inter wanted me, but I refused”

AC Milan flamboyant winger is enjoying his best period with the Rossoneri but he easily could have played for the other side of Milan.

He was eagerly expecting the Derby della Madonnina because Inter are one of his favorite Serie A teams but due to Davide Astori’s sudden death the derby was postponed. Last summer the Spanish winger decided to renew his contract with the Rossoneri however he could have easily joined the other side of Milan.

In an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport, Suso reveals an interesting mercato backstory concerning Inter: “In the summer they made me an offer. I had just changed agent and they talked to him. Then what AC Milan said to my agent I do not know, I had clear ideas: I wanted to stay here and renew. I could have left Milan even before the renewal but I’m fine here and I’m very happy. However in football there is not “for life”, and now it is important to finish the season well“.
