Lille striker offers himself to AC Milan

The 21-year-old USA international is in touch with three Rossoneri players and dreams of a move to AC Milan in the future.

AC Milan and Lille have done a lot of business in recent years and that is not expected to stop any time soon. Rafael Leao, Mike Maignan and Tiago Djalo have moved between the two clubs while Sven Botman and Renato Sanches could soon follow a similar path.

However, at Lille there is another player with close ties to AC Milan. Timothy Weah, son of AC Milan legend and Ballon d’Or winner George Weah, plays for the French champions and dreams of a future move to the Rossoneri in the future.

Interviewed by Sportweek (via MilanNews.it), the 21-year-old striker reveals he is in touch with three Rossoneri players. Timothy Weah, who unlike his father represents USA on international level, hope to follow in his father’s footsteps and play in Serie A with the Red and Blacks.

With Mike Maignan I often talk about Milan. He tells me that he has a great time with the fans and that the city is fantastic. But I also talk with Rafael Leao, Fikayo Tomori, they are all my friends. I am focused on Lille but it has always been my ambition to play one day in a great league like Serie A and in particular in a great club like AC Milan, which is basically part of my family history.”

AC Milan also dream of signing a Lille striker but that’s Jonathan David and not Timothy Weah. While the former PSG prodigy has the necessary time ahead of him to prove he could make the difference at a top club, David has already reached that level. A fierce race is expected to take place this summer for the services of Jonathan David but Lille’s asking price of €50 seems prohibitive for AC Milan.
