Sun: AC Milan line up bid for €45m Tottenham signing

Tottenham Hotspur defender Davinson Sanchez lined up by AC Milan for transfer bid after falling down the pecking order.

The transfer priority of AC Milan is the defense. Simon Kjaer’s injury highlighted again the need for a new centre back. Maldini tried to fill this void in the summer but without success. Ozan Kabak of Schalke 04 and Mohamed Simakan of Strasbourg were close to the Rossoneri but neither arrived.

According to The Sun, Tottenham defender Davinson Sanchez is an option for the Red and Blacks. The 24-year-old centre back is no longer a regular starter for Jose Mourinho and is looking for more play time.

That has alerted Milan to the potential that Spurs would be open to offers for Sanchez who has fallen down the pecking order. Nevertheless, Tottenham don’t want to record a significant loss on the Colombia international.

In 2017, Tottenham Hotspur spent 45 million euros to purchase Davinson Sanchez from Ajax. Sanchez  has a contract until 2024 and has made over 120 appearances during his time in England.

In January, Tottenham are expected to make a fresh attempt for Inter’s ace Milan Skriniar so Mourinho needs to sell players in order to fund a move reports The Sun.
