Free agent could be AC Milan last signing

AC Milan still need to sign a new left-back before the January transfer window closes and the Rossoneri are looking at a free agent.

AC Milan is certainly the Italian team that has been most active on the transfer market. The Rossoneri have signed Soualiho Meite, Mario Mandzukic and Fikayo Tomori while Leo Duarte, Andrea Conti and Mateo Musacchio have left.

Nevertheless, AC Milan still aim to make one last signing before the end of the January window. The Rossoneri are looking for a back-up for Theo Hernandez.

After the failed attempt for Barcelona left-back Junior Firpo, AC Milan are now considering a free agent. Sportmediaset reports that the Rossoneri are seriously looking to sign Achraf Lazaar.

Lazaar plays with Newcastle but is reportedly in negotiations with the English club to terminate his contract. Achraf Lazaar has played for seven season in Italy with clubs like Varese, Palermo and Benevento.

Asked about the future of Lazaar, agent Alessandro Moggi declared: Milan is the is the only club that has made significant progress. In the future there could be an intervention on the left wing and Lazaar’s name is absolutely credible“.
