AC Milan about to complete winger sale

AC Milan are about to complete the transfer of Samuel Castillejo to Getafe. The winger will return in Spain after three season in Serie A.

After three years at the San Siro, the Red and Black adventure of Samuel Castillejo is coming to an end. As expected, the 26-year-old right winger will return in Spain to play again in La Liga.

According to reports from AS, his agent Manuel Garcia Quilon was in Getafe on Tuesday to negotiate the terms of the contract that will bind Castillejo to the La Liga club. The agreement would be almost closed between all the parties but is not yet signed and the player’s agent must update AC Milan on the latest.

Samuel Castillejo has been on Getafe’s radar for a long time. Getafe coach Michel has specifically asked the signing of the former Villarreal right winger, convinced that he is a player capable of helping his team make a qualitative leap forward.

AC Milan no longer consider Castillejo central to their project. Stefano Pioli has long since given the go-ahead to his sale and now the management hopes to close the deal with Getafe quickly.

Getafe finished in fifteenth place in the last season of La Liga and are aiming to do much better in the upcoming. The Rossoneri are asking a fee of 8 million euros after spending around 21 million plus Carlo Bacca to sign Castillejo in 2018. The Spaniard made 108 appearances with the Rossoneri, scoring 10 goals and assisting 13.
