AC Milan consider sensational Deulofeu return
AC Milan are considering the sensational return of Gerard Deulofeu. The Spanish winger of Watford played with the Rossoneri for half a season in 2017.
The Italian media reports a sensational news. AC Milan are interested in bringing back Gerard Deulofeu at San Siro. The Spanish winger enjoyed a very positive spell with the Rossoneri in the second part of the 2016/2017 season. He arrived on loan from Everton and, after continuous good performances in Serie A, Barcelona decided to exercise their buy-back option.
Sky Sport confirms that AC Milan is indeed interested in Deulofeu and are considering his return. The 24 year old talent already knows the environment, he would not require time to adapt and was a fan favorite in the past. In fact, Deulofeu could be the last signing of AC Milan in the January transfer window even if though the operation is not easy. The former Barcelona is a regular starter at Watford and the English club doesn’t seem willing to let him leave.
Leonardo, considering the difficulties to land the too expensive Yannick Carrasco, is reflecting on Deulofeu. However, it’s still unclear how much Milan can still invest in this campaign. So far the Rossoneri have spent 70 million euros for Lucas Paqueta and Piatek. T
he Brazilian sporting director could propose a loan with the right to buy but the Watford would hardy take into consideration a temporary transfer. A good offer or the obligation to buy could change things. Tottenham are also keen on Gerard Deulofeu but they are aiming for a summer move.
Two years ago Deulofeu made 17 Serie A appearances for AC Milan scoring 4 goals. Notable for his speed and dribbling, Deulofeu, primarily a right winger can also play on the left and as second striker. Watford signed him in the summer of 2018 for 13 million euros.
