AC Milan looking to sign next Koulibaly on free transfer

Sky Sports reports that AC Milan are trying to complete another free transfer. The Rossoneri are working to sign Nice defender Malang Sarr.

AC Milan have already signing Pierre Kalulu from Lyon on a free transfer. The young right back was expected to arrive today in Italy, but he will arrive on Wednesday for medical exams. Now the Rossoneri are trying to land another player from France. AC Milan have targeted Nice central defender Malang Sarr, whose contract expires in June 2020 too.

Sky Sport (via MilanNews.it) reports that AC Milan are greatly interested in the French sensation. Born in 1999, Sarr is considered one of the most talented defenders of France. Nice have failed to agree a contract renewal with the player so Sarr is now free to join any other club. Signing a player like the 21-year-old centre back for free will surely be one of the biggest summer bargains.

The great strength of Malang Sarr is his physicality: 1.85 m tall, he has a really well-developed muscle structure, despite his young age. What’s more importantly the France U-21 has great room for improvement despite being already an established defender. He is an explosive defender, strong and also very quick, which is why Patrick Vieira, the Nice coach, has often deployed him in midfield. A player very similar to Napoli star Kalidou Koulibaly.

Malang Sarr has 120 appearances to his name despite being just 21-year-old. The talented centre back is also a regular starter for France Under-21 aiming to join Didier Deschamps’ squad very soon.

Besides AC Milan, Inter are also very interested in Sarr. Inter coach Antonio Conte considers him perfect for his three-centre back defence. Nevertheless, Giuseppe Marotta and Piero Ausilio now have to deal with the strong competition of AC Milan, in addition to that of other European clubs.
