AC Milan strongly interested in Spanish midfielder

AC Milan are strongly interested in Spanish midfielder Marc Roca. The 23-year-old cost 25 million and is seen as a better alternative to Tonali. reports that AC Milan are strongly interested in Espanyol midfielder Marc Roca. The Rossoneri have in fact asked several times for information on the Spanish player whose contract expires in 2022.

The 23-year-old is a left-footed defensive midfielder who shined last year in the European Under-21 Championship with Spain that he won and also scored a goal in the semi-final against France. Journalist Carlo Pellegatti describes Marc Roca as a better player than Sandro Tonali, a transfer target of Milan but destined to join Inter.

Raised in the youth sectors of Barcelona and Espanyol, Roca made his debut in the La Liga on 26 August 2016 when Quique Sanchez Flores launched him from the first minute against Malaga. The young midfielder ended that season with Espanyol with 25 appearances in all competitions.

The following season he did not play much but in 2018-19 Marc Roca established himself as one of the best midfielders in La Liga collecting a total of 40 appearances. After the success with Spain in the Under 21 European Championship, Roca, the untouchable defensive midfielder of Espanyol, also made his debut in the Europa League this season with the Spanish club.

The Spanish talent costs 25 million euros and is the classic midfield metronome with good physique and excellent passing. As for the position on the pitch, Roca can either play in front of the defense in a midfield of three or play alongside another central midfielder in a 4-4-2 formation. Milan are consider him as the ideal partner of Bennacer.
