AC Milan readying €13m offer for Portuguese striker

AC Milan have set their sights on Portuguese talent Marcos Paulo. The Fluminense striker could cost 13 million euros.

A new name has emerged for the AC Milan attack. Marcos Paulo, a Brazilian-born Portuguese footballer who plays with Fluminense, is one the radar of the Rossoneri club.

Tuttosport reports that AC Milan are seriously interested in the 19-year-old centre forward of Fluminense. Marcos Paulo is highly rated in Brazil and is considered a player with great potential. Lazio, Lille and Lyon are also on his trail.

AC Milan are ready to make an offer of 13 million euros for the Fluminense starlet. A move, in typical Ralf Rangnick style, trying to anticipate the competition of other clubs and secure Marcos Paulo by avoiding a bidding war.

The 19-year-old striker can also play as left or right winger. In 2019, Paulo scored 6 goals and assisted 5 in all competitions. In 2020, however, 2 goals and 1 assists in 6 appearances until the Coronavirus outbreak.

Being only 19, he has time and talent to improve more. Fast, skilled in dribbling, physically strong (1.86 m tall), Marcos has a powerful shot and possesses good sense of positioning in the opponent’s area. His contract with Fluminense ends in one year so the Brazilian club will be forced to sell their gem this summer or risk losing him for free in 2021.
