AC Milan looking to sign former midfielder

AC Milan are looking to sign their former midfielder Matteo Pessina who is having a great season with Hellas Verona.

Matteo Pessina is one of the emerging stars of Serie A this season. The 23-year-old midfielder of Verona scored his sixth goal in Serie A against Roma in 30 appearances so far. Not a bad tally for a player who for the first time is playing in the top tier of Italian football and as a protagonist.

The former Rossoneri talent, considered a prodigy by many, has ended up on the radar of the big Italian clubs. AC Milan are also seriously considering signing back their former player. Pessina joined Atalanta as part of the deal that brought Andrea Conti to Milan.

A rather special affair, with the Rossoneri who decided to maintain partial control over the player. AC Milan in fact still own 50% of the player. This agreement would allow Pessina to return to Milanello by paying only half of his price tag.

AC Milan must therefore negotiate with Atalanta, which wants to monetize as much as possible. La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that the 15 million rated central midfielder is a top target of Roma.

After the inquiries of Inter and Juventus, always very attentive to young Italian players, the Giallorossi have also set their sights on the 23-year-old midfielder who is finally making his breakthrough in Italian football.
