AC Milan to sell five players, two in doubt
Many Rossoneri players are already packing to make room for the new arrivals. The January transfer window is going to be a busy period for Milan.
The Rossoneri are the most active team on the market. Due to many injury problems Leonardo is working to bring at San Siro several targets and quickly. However a couple of names from the current roster will leave Gennaro Gattuso’s squad.
The list of possible departures is headed by Ignazio Abate, Cristian Zapata, Riccardo Montolivo, Jose Mauri e Andrea Bertolacci. All these five players have contracts that expire in the summer of 2019 and except for the first two, who have some chances for renewal, the others are sure to leave reports Tuttosport.
But the list doesn’t concern only soon-to-be free agents. In goal for example, one between Antonio Donnarumma and Alessandro Plizzari will also leave. At the moment, Gattuso has 4 goalkeepers at his disposal. The young Plizzari is favorite to change environment with Leonardo in search of a team that can guarantee him more first team football.
Another guaranteed departure is that of Alen Halilovic. The former Barcelona prospect has played only 3 minutes for the Rosoneri this season. Ironically he continues excel for Croatia U-21. He will leave on loan with a couple of Spanish clubs interested.
Fabio Borini’s space after the arrival of Lucas Paqueta becomes very limited. The Brazilian star plays as attacking midfielder or left winger and considering the hefty investment he will certainly be a regular starter. Despite his ductility, AC Milan has no room for Borini.
Tiemoue Bakayoko’s permanence is a true dilemma. The French defensive midfielder has appeared very lucid in recent outings. He is on loan at San Siro and if these performances continue the Rossoneri may keep him. However, for that to happen, Chelsea must lower the economic claims. AC Milan have no intention of paying 35 million euros for Bakayoko but are willing to negotiate for 15 million less.
