Paqueta arrival date in Milan revealed
AC Milan new signing Lucas Paqueta will be at Milanello much sooner than everyone expected, thanks to Leonardo.
It’s not yet official but everyone has admitted the agreement, including Flamengo. AC Milan came out victorious in the race for the highly rated Brazilian talent Lucas Paqueta.
A great hit by the director of the technical area Leonardo, able to snatch him from Flamengo beating the competition of Europe’s best and richest clubs. The 21 year attacking midfielder has excited the Rossoneri fans even before his actual arrival at San Siro. Paqueta will be eligible to play for Milan from the beginning of January 2019, when the winter transfer market officially opens, but the Seleçao gem is expected to arrive much earlier than that. Leonardo agreed on his anticipated arrival with Flamengo in order for the player to become familiar with Milanello and his new colleagues.
According to reports by Il Corriere dello Sport on the newsstands today in two weeks Lucas Paqueta will land in Italy. The Brazilian ace will make himself available to coach Gennaro Gattuso, like his fellow countrymen Pato or Thiago Silva did in the past. Both players landed at Milanello before their effective signing in order to settle in in tranquility.
Yesterday Paqueta played his last match in the Brazilian championship against Sport Recife (win 1-0 but he was sent off). Now AC Milan are getting ready to welcome their 35 million euros purchase with open arms. Given the lack of quality in midfield and the many injuries that have plagued the department there couldn’t have been a better news for Gattuso.
