Barcelona player could be AC Milan’s last signing

AC Milan are thinking of a fourth signing before the end of the mercato. The Rossoneri want a back-up for Theo Hernandez.

Before the kick-off of Cagliari vs Milan, journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reported on the mercato of the Rossoneri and confirmed the signing of Fikayo Tomori, who should arrive in Italy by Wednesday.

The player will leave Chelsea on loan with the right to buy for around €30 million. Fikayo Tomori becomes AC Milan’s third signing after Meite and Mario Mandzukic but it seems that the Rossoneri won’t stop there.

Di Marzio confirms the recent rumors of AC Milan’s interest in Barcelona defender Junior Firpo. With the sale of Andrea Conti to Parma, Diogo Dalot will return to be the second choice on the right (his natural position). Thus Milan are looking for an alternative to Theo Hernandez on the left.

Junior Firpo is closed by Jordi Alba at Barcelona and wants to play more. Even though the Rossoneri can’t guaranteed him a starting role they promise more opportunities than at Barca. A similar revitalization process like that of Theo Hernandez is tempting for the 24-year-old Blaugrana defender.

Barcelona signed Junior Firpo from Real Betis in 2019 for a fee of 18 million euros. The Spanish left-back has made 10 appearances so far, mostly from the bench. Until the end of the January transfer window Milan will try to bring in a back-up for Theo Hernandez.
