Real Madrid to challenge Milan with €70m offer for Brazilian starlet

AC Milan are set to face tough competition for Flamengo young midfielder Reinier with Real Madrid willing to offer 70 million euros.

The Brazilian league in recent years has been producing some of the most interesting talents of the beautiful game after a few years of sharp decline in this regard. With the return of Leonardo as sporting director AC Milan are back in business in his homeland.

Last October the Rossoneri closed the purchase of Lucas Paqueta, anticipating the competition of the top European clubs. However, there are many other Brazilians in his notebook, including Reinier Jesus Carvalho. The young attacking midfielder last January turned 17 years old. Despite his young age, Reinier is already 185 cm tall and prefers the role of playmaker. He has a contract with Flamengo until June 2020. Reinier is also the captain of Brazil Under-17 scoring 4 goals in 6 games.

Reiner was a companion of Paqueta at Flamengo, although there are four years of difference between the two. Negotiations between Milan and Flamengo could be facilitated given the positive reports after Paqueta’s transfer, but the latest rumors give Real Madrid in great advantage. It seems in fact that Madrid have offered 70 million euros for Reiner reports The Sun.

Leonardo is studying the situation. If these figures are real it would be really hard to stop Real Madrid. The economic potential of Elliott’s AC Milan is certainly very high but the club must also deal with the Financial Fair Play. Certainly Reinier seems to be a real crack, otherwise it would can not be explained the interests of such prestigious clubs.
