AC Milan in negotiations with Argentine star De Paul
AC Milan are in negotiations to sign Rodrigo De Paul from Udinese. Leonardo has scheduled a meeting whit his agents on Monday.
Many are curious on the position that AC Milan new signing Lucas Paqueta will have when he joins the Rossoneri. Though an attacking midfielder by nature the Brazilian talent will apparently play as inside let in midfield in the position of the injured Giacomo Bonaventura. Udinese star Rodrigo De Paul has emerged as a potential candidate for AC Milan and sporting director Leonardo is in official contacts with his representatives. The Argentine 24 year old, who has represented his country on 4 occasions since making his debut this October, is having an excellent season at personal level. While Udinese currently sit in 17-th place in the standings, De Paul has been one of the standout performers of Serie A so far. Rodrigo De Paul joined Udinese in 2016 for “only” 3 million euros from Valencia. The player has publicly stated his desire to leave Friuli and his agent Bruno Conti was at the center of war of words with Udinese’s management during the summer. At that time Udine had rejected a 10 million euros offer from Fiorentina.
Udinese currently value the player at 15 million, a figure well within the reach of the Rossoneri management. The good relationship between the two clubs could favor his transfer to San Siro. Wissam Ben Yedder of Sevilla is the alternative.
