Sky: German club agrees Calhanoglu transfer

Rossoneri winger Hakan Calhanoglu has agreed personal terms with German club RB Leipzig reports Sky but Gennaro Gattuso wants to keep him at Milan.

The future of Hakan Calhanoglu has been in great doubt in recent weeks, for obvious reasons. The seasonal performance of Turkish winger so far has been totally disappointing, therefore it is inevitable for Milan to ask questions.

According to many transfer rumors, the AC Milan number 10 is being considered as a possible sacrifice by the management in order to finance the January shopping campaign. Despite these rumors, the Rossoneri managers so far have publicly stated their intention to keep the former Bayer Leverkusen star. Only a tempting offer could change the scenario.

Meanwhile Sky Sports confirms the strong interest of RB Leipzig for Calhanoglu, revealing that the parties have already agreed personal terms. Even though AC Milan are willing to sell coach Gennaro Gattuso insists on keeping Calhanoglu. Despite the disappointing form in the first half of the season, the 24 year old is considered an important player for the team. The coach still relies on him and believes Hakan can be decisive for Milan in the future.

It’s not year clear the amount RB Leipzig will offer for Calhanoglu. In the summer of 2017 the Rossoneri paid over 20 million euros. Considering his recent performances it will be very hard to sell Calhanoglu at around 30 million, the figure that AC Milan would had hopped. However, Milan will certainly try to recoup what they paid two years ago at later reinvest on a new name.
