Maldini’s swap offer for new midfielder

AC Milan are negotiating the signing of Russian central midfielder Aleksey Miranchuk from Lokomotiv Moscow.

AC Milan remain interested in Aleksey Miranchuk. Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara continue to monitor his situation. The player wants to leave Lokomotiv Moscow and dreams of playing in Serie A.

In recent months his agents have offered Miranchuk to both AC Milan and Juventus. However, Juventus director Paratici has other targets in mind leaving the path open for the Rossoneri.

Lokomotiv Moscow are asking a fee of 20 million euros to allow their star to leave, however, the Rossoneri have no intention of spending such a high fee for a player who has only one year remaining in his contract.

AC Milan are open to negotiate but only regarding a swap deal. The Rossoneri are offering Lokomotiv Moscow the option to choose one between Diego Laxalt and Ricardo Rodriguez. In addition, Maldini is willing to offer a small fee (no more than 5 million) for Miranchuk besides one player reports Calciomercato.

Contacts between the two clubs are in progress. Maldini and Massara are working and the 24-year-old central midfielder has already said yes to a move to Milan. The contract situation of the player is another advantage for the Rossoneri. Atalanta too are also keeping tabs on the Russia international who has scored 16 goals in 32 appearances this season.
