AC Milan looking again at €12m striker

Today’s match against Sampdoria again highlighted AC Milan’s need to have a top striker that can partner with Ibrahimovic.

If Zlatan Ibrahimovic does not score, AC Milan struggle to find the back of the net. Even today, against Ranieri’s Sampdoria, the limits of the Rossoneri attack were obvious. With Mario Mandzukic facing injuries, Milan urgently need a new center forward to support the Swedish star.

In recent days the names of Andrea Belotti and Dusan Vlahovic have been linked with AC Milan. The Italian center forward has a contract expiring in one year. With no intention to renew, Belotti is set to become one of summer’s biggest opportunities. He could be available for around 25 million but if Torino get relegated that figure will decrease even more.

On the other hand, Dusan Vlahovic can not stop scoring. The recent coach change at Fiorentina has not been a problem for the Serbian center forward who left his mark in today’s match against Genoa. He had also scored with national team. In Serie A, with the last goal at Marassi, Vlahovic is now at 13 and his price continues to rise.

Fiorentina wants 40-50 million euros to let go of their gem. His contract expires in 2023 and Fiorentina president Commisso is in no hurry to sell. According to reports from France (via MilanLive), AC Milan are looking again at Arkadiusz Milik, an old transfer target since his time at Napoli.

After being inactive for the first half of the season at Napoli, Milik joined Marseille on loan with the obligation to buy. The 27-year-old Polish striker has immediately found his form scoring 4 goals in 8 appearances so far. Nevertheless, the French club are having significant economic problems and could be forced to sell some of their stars in the summer mercato. Arek Milik has a release clause of ‘just’ 12 million euros and past experience in Serie A. Besides AC Milan, Juventus and Roma want to bring Milik back in Italy.
