Tuchel asks Abramovich to sign €60m AC Milan star

Chelsea are looking to sign a new left-back and AC Milan’s Theo Hernandez is on top of Thomas Tuchel’s list of targets.

Chelsea are looking for a left-back who can cover in Ben Chilwell’s absence. The English defender has suffered a season-ending injury forcing Chelsea to look on the market for a new left-back. Blues coach Thomas Tuchel has suggested president Roman Abramovich the name of Theo Hernandez as the ideal substitute reports El Nacional.

The performances of the 24-year-old in Serie A have been simply superb attracting the attention of several important clubs. With only Marcos Alonso in that position, Thomas Tuchel would love to have Hernandez under his orders and Chelsea will reportedly test AC Milan’s adamant position.

Theo managed to revive his career after a difficult spell at Real Madrid. Coach Zinedine Zidane was his biggest supporter at Los Blancos considering Hernandez a great successor to Marcelo but he didn’t live up to expectations and was sold to AC Milan for a 22 million euros.

The market value of Theo Hernandez has tripled and the Frenchman is valued at least 60 million euros. Nevertheless, AC Milan are not intentioned to sell their star defender and are currently in advanced negotiations to renew his contract until 2026.

Besides Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain are another club very interested in his services. The French giants would like to make Hernandez their marque signing next summer. Theo, a France international and one of the best left-backs in the world, would be a perfect addition to the star studded PSG side.
