Tuttosport: AC Milan to sign the next Marek Hamsik

AC Milan are working to close in advance the signing of Argentine talent Matias Zaracho, considered the next Marek Hamsik.

Matias Zaracho, midfielder of the Racing Club de Avellaneda tops AC Milan’s transfer list for the summer market. After a failed attempt in January, the Rossoneri are moving to close a deal in advance for the Argentine talent.

In January, AC Milan offered 15 million euros to sign the 21-year-old playmaker who has a release clause of 25 million euros. Nevertheless, the price is affordable and considering the perspective of the player the Rossoneri are optimistic. In addition, the player has already agreed to join Milan.

Today’s edition of Tuttosport makes a good profile of the Argentine, born in 1998 and raised in the youngsters of Racing before joining and establishing himself as a regular starter in the first team. Matias Zaracho is compared to Marek Hamsik, one of the best players in the history of Napoli and one of the best midfielders of the past decade in Serie A.

Skilled both with and without the ball, Matias gives his best as inside left in midfield. A playmaker with great technique ready to offer a killer pass but he must improve in his goal scoring abilities. An advanced player must always aim more for the goal.

This season, Racing sit fifth in Superliga standings and fight for a place in the Libertadores Cup. Matis Zaracho has made 17 appearances so far, scoring 4 goals. Not bad but there is room for better and age is on his side.
