Two key players recover but another is injured

AC Milan will play against Spezia tomorrow. Two key players recover but Alessandro Florenzi has joined the long list of injuries.

Tomorrow, at 15:00 CET, AC Milan will face Spezia away from San Siro. Spezia are currently battling to avoid relegation while the Rossoneri are chasing the top of the league. Nevertheless, in the last match between the two clubs AC Milan suffered an embarrassing 2-0 against Spezia.

In today’s press conference Pioli named that match as “The worst match of AC Milan last season“. However, the Italian coach gave a positive news today regarding the recovery of Olivier Giroud and Davide Calabria.

Giroud will be part of the squad. I saw him well, he will be with us. We’ll see if he will play from the start or during the match“. The French striker has missed the last three Serie A games due to Covid and a low back injury. With his return, Pioli will have more choices in attack. Until now, Ante Rebic was tasked to find goals.

“Calabria too will be available tomorrow”. The Italian right back missed the last two matches against Juventus and Venezia because of a muscle injury. He has fully recovered but his presence from the first minute is not guaranteed. Pierre Kalulu has done very well in his absence.

This AC Milan will not count on the services of Alessandro Florenzi. He won’t be with Spezia because of a blunt trauma to his knee. He couldn’t train this morning, I hope he can recover in time for Tuesday. He’s not at 100% yet but he’s an intelligent player. I count on him a lot. I hope he can get to soon at his 100% form“.
