Werner fuels summer move amid AC Milan links

Despite his young age Timo Werner is already one of the best strikers in the world and his performances have caught the attention of AC Milan and Massimiliano Mirabelli.

AC Milan are in search of a new striker. Timo Werner is one of the names that the Rossoneri appreciate the most. Young (22 years old), technically good and physically strong, able to play even as winger or second striker, a completed forward. The German has a price tag of 70 million euros and RB Leipzig will not accept to let him go for anything less. However, before starting negotiations, it will be necessary to understand how much money will actually be available for the club after UEFA’s final decision.

The German striker, who will play the World Cup with his national, has admitted his dream of playing in the future (soon) for a top club. “I want to be honest, to become a world-class player I have to play in clubs that are even better than Leipzig” he told Welt. “I am not yet at the level of the various Lewandowski, Suarez and Griezmann. To become a great player you have to play big games like semifinals and Champions League finals. Anyway, I have time and I’m not in a hurry. The best strikers have reached their top at 26-27 years or even later.

In the end he mentions his old teammate Keita that starting from next season will play in England. “Naby Keita has not fully established himself with us, but he could become a top player at Liverpool. My future? I still have 4-5 years to learn in order to become a world-class player“. Liverpool and AC Milan are the two most interested clubs in the services of Timo Werner.
