Milan vs Roma, probable lineups

AC Milan face Roma at San Siro with the Rossoneri in search of yet another win. Ibrahimovic plays against his favorite opponent.

Tonight at 20:45 CET, AC Milan host Roma at the San Siro. Milan vs Roma will undoubtedly be the main even of Serie A week five. The Rossoneri so far are the only European team in the top leagues to have won every match.

Coach Stefano Pioli offered a great chance in Europa League to all the players who have played less so far and they all repaid him. However, for Milan vs Roma, Pioli will rely back to his regular eleven with a couple of modifications.

No changes in defence but one between the posts. Gigio Donnarumma has tested positive for Covid, just like Jens Peter Hauge. Thus, Tatarusanu will make his debut with the Rossoneri. Captain Alessio Romagnoli is quickly gaining his form and will play alongside Simon Kjaer at the center. Davide Calabria returns to the right with Theo Hernandez on the left.

Franck Kessie and Ismael Bennacer will form the midfield dam. Hakan Calhanoglu seems to have recovered in record time and will play from the first minute in AC Milan vs Roma. Disappointing news for Brahim Diaz who hoped to have another chance to shine after a great against Celtic.

Belgium talent Alexis Saelemaekers is slowly establishing himself as the regular starter on the right. The former Anderlecht, together with Rafael Leao, will be in support of Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Roma is one of Zlatan’s favorites victims. He has scored 10 goals and has recorded 3 assists against the Giallorossi.

AC MILAN (4-2-3-1): Tatarusanu, Calabria, Kjaer, Romagnoli, Theo Hernandez; Kessie, Bennacer; Saelemaekers, Calhanoglu (Diaz), Leao, Ibrahimovic.

ROMA (3-4-2-1): Mirante; Mancini, Ibanez, Kumbulla; Santon, Pellegrini, Veretout, Spinazzola; Pedro, Mkhitaryan; Dzeko.
