Sampdoria vs Milan, probable lineups

Stefano Pioli has only one doubt for Sampdoria vs Milan. With Kjaer and Bennacer out, Jens Peter Hauge makes his Serie A debut from the first minute.

On Sunday, AC Milan travel to Genoa to face Claudio Ranieri’s Sampdoria. The Rossoneri are currently leading Serie A with five points and will try to avoid any missteps. For Sampdoria vs Milan, besides Rafael Leao and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, coach Stefano Pioli will be without Simon Kjaer who was injured in the last Europa League match against Celtic.

As usual the Italian coach will deploy his standard 4-2-3-1 formation with Gigio Donnarumma between the posts. Matteo Gabbia will replace Kjaer alongside captain Alessio Romagnoli with Davide Calabria resuming his place on the right and Theo Hernandez on the other side.

After two games out, Ismael Bennacer was supposed to start from the first minute in Sampdoria vs Milan. However, the Algerian had some muscular problems in the last training session and has been left out for this match. Sandro Tonali will play alongside Franck Kessie in midfield.

For this match, Pioli has one big doubt in attack. Jens Petter Hauge and Brahim Diaz are battling for the available spot on the left with the Norwegian slightly favorite after the fantastic performance in Europa League reports Gazzetta. Alexis Saelemaekers and Hakan Calhanoglu will be in support of Ante Rebic. Once again the Croatian will lead the attack.

SAMPDORIA (4-4-2): Audero; Bereszynski, Yoshida, Tonelli, Augello; Candreva, Thorsby, Ekdal, Jankto (Damsgaard); Gabbiadini (Ramirez), Quagliarella.

AC MILAN (4-2-3-1): G. Donnarumma; Calabria, Gabbia, Romagnoli, Theo Hernandez; Tonali, Kessie; Saelemaekers, Calhanoglu, Hauge (Brahim Diaz); Rebic.
