Atletico Madrid vs Milan, probable lineups

AC Milan will travel to Spain to face Atletico Madrid. Tonight’s match is the Rossoneri’s last hope of Champions qualification.

The Rossoneri have archived the painful defeat against Fiorentina and are looking at the upcoming Champions League match. There is still a mathematical chance for Stefano Pioli’s side to qualify but a convincing win is needed in Atletico Madrid vs Milan.

Coach Stefano Pioli is preparing the match without the services of Fikayo Tomori and Ante Rebic. The good news is the return of centre back Alessio Romagnoli.

There will be no formation revolution against Atletico. Captain Romagnoli returns to play from the first minute alongside Simon Kjaer. Pierre Kalulu will replace again Davide Calabria while Theo Hernandez completes the back four. Despite the Fiorentina fiasco, Tatarusanu will be between the posts. Again, Sandro Tonali will form the midfield duo for Atletico Madrid vs Milan with Franck Kessie.

Thankfully, the injury of Rafael Leao was not serious and the Portuguese will play against the Colchoneros. The Portuguese winger, Brahim Diaz and Rade Krunic are fighting for two spots. Alexis Saelemaekers is sure to start on the right wing with. Zlatan Ibrahimovic was in fine form against Fiorentina but Olivier Giroud will lead the attack against Atletico.

ATLETICO MADRID (4-2-3-1): Oblak, Vrsajlko, Savic, Gimenez, Hermoso, Koke, Kogdobia, Carrasco, Lemar, Correa, Griezman.

AC MILAN (4-2-3-1): Tatarusanu; Kalulu, Kjaer, Romagnoli, Theo Hernandez; Tonali, Kessie; Saelemaekers, Diaz (Krunic), Leao; Giroud.
