Pioli overhauls attack for Milan vs Torino

AC Milan will face Torino in a match valid for the Coppa Italia. Coach Pioli will overhaul the starting formation for tonight.

The Rossoneri need to turn page after the heartbreaking draw against Roma in the league. Stefano Pioli’s squad will host Torino at San Siro, tonight at 21:00 CET. AC Milan vs Torino will be vailid for the 1/8 finals of the Coppa Italia.

Pioli will make five changes to his starting eleven starting with the formation. The Italian coach has opted for the three-man defence wit Matteo Gabbia will return to play from the first minute alongside Fikayo Tomori and Pierre Kalulu. Ciprian Tatarusanu will be tasked to protect the goal.

Tommaso Pobega who scored the second goal against Roma will be rewarded with a starting jersey for Milan vs Torino. Pobega will form the midfield core with Sandro Tonali and Aster Vranckx. A great opportunity for the Belgian to showcase his talent. Alexis Saelemaekers and Sergino Dest will be deployed on the wings.

Ismael Bennacer will be given a chance to rest, just like Rafael Leao and Olivier Giroud.The French striker has not had a chance to catch his breath so far despite being busy also in the World Cup. Charles De Ketelaere is set to lead the attack for Milan vs Torino, together with Brahim Diaz. The Coppa Italia match against Torino will be a golden chance for the Belgian who has been deployed in the striker position during his time at Club Brugge.
