3 Reasons why Isco is the perfect midfielder for Milan

Real Madrid attacking midfielder Isco Alarcon is one of AC Milan’s top transfer targets for the attacking midfielder role.

The search for a new attacking midfielder has reached a crucial phase. Isco Alarcon and Marcel Sabitzer are the two most likely names to take Hakan Calhanoglu’s place in Stefano Pioli’s 4-2-3-1 formation. Both players have the same price tag but for a number of reasons the Spaniard is more appealing that Sabitzer.

Isco’s contract with Real Madrid will expire on 30 June 2022. The Spaniard, after a season in which he played little (1092 minutes, only 10 games as a starter), is leaving Los Blancos as he is not part of Carlo Ancelotti’s plans for the future.

AC Milan are interested and are carefully monitoring his situation. Isco has an affordable price tag of 20 million euros. His salary at Real Madrid is around 7 million euros, so he should lower his economic claims a bit, but the Rossoneri could spread his salary with a four-year contract.

Isco for Milan would undoubtedly be a great signing. The quality and talent of the 29-year-old would an excellent addition for the AC Milan midfield. Let’s not forget his experience in the Champions League (where he has already played 72 matches) that would be very useful in a team where few players have ever participated in the most prestigious European club competition.

Another good reason to bet on Isco is certainly his desire for redemption after the last difficult seasons. Isco still has a couple of good years ahead of him and, with the trust of a new coach and club, he can still give a lot.
