7 AC Milan players set to leave soon

Seven AC Milan players are no longer part of Stefano Pioli’s project and must leave soon. The management is working on it.

AC Milan have been the most active Italian club on the transfer market so far by a long distance. The Rossoneri have signed eight players so far and don’t plan to stop here. Yunus Musah was the latest to join Stefano Pioli’s squad. The American central midfielder, who has an Italian passport, arrived from Valencia for a 20 million fee.

Now signings have been put aside with player exits and sales being the top priority of the management. The AC Milan management will try to offload several players that are no longer part of Stefano Pioli’s plan for next season. It will be the tough job of Furlani and Moncada to find new destinations for seven players.

The players that need to find a new club are Mattia Caldara, Fode Ballo-Toure, Yacine Adli, Charles De Ketelaere, Junior Messias, Divock Origi and Marko Lazetic. De Ketelare is on the verge of completing a loan transfer to Atalanta. The Bergamo club will have an option to make his transfer permanent for a total fee of €26 million. The Belgian attacking midfielder leaves after only one year at San Siro.

Fode Ballo-Toure made AC Milan furious with his decision to reject Fulham. AC Milan and the English club had agreed everything and Ballo-Toure was set to join the Premier League for a 4 million fee only to make a U-turn at the very last moment. He wants a move to Bologna while Werder Bremen have inquired about his situation. A new club must also be found for the highly expensive flop, Mattia Caldara. The Italian centre back is still on AC Milan books.

AC Milan have received many inquires about Yacine Adli. Coach Stefano Pioli has never been fond of the French central midfielder ever since he stepped foot at San Siro. His former coach Paulo Sousa wants him at Salernitana while Lille and Ajax are also keeping tabs at his situation. AC Milan are open to let Adli leave either on loan or permanently.

AC Milan are using harsh tactics to make it crystal clear to Divock Origi that he is no longer wanted at the club and must find a new destination fast. Origi has attracted interest from Saudi clubs and the Premier League but he has been reluctant so far to leave Italy. Messias is wanted by Torino and also has a tempting contract proposal from Turkey while for Marko Lazetic there isn’t much movement at the moment.
