AC Milan make bid for Man United defender

AC Milan are looking to sign another right back and have made an offer to Manchester United for Portuguese defender Diogo Dalot.

It seems like in the remaining days of the summer transfer window AC Milan will pay special attention to the defence. Besides a new central defender, the Rossoneri management is considering the possibility of signing another right back with Diogo Dalot the name in mind.

While Davide Calabria has experienced a renaissance lately, the same can not be said for Andre Conti. The former Atalanta continues to battle with persistent physical problems and is not seen as a reliable figure by coach Stefano Pioli.

That’s why the Rossoneri are carefully considering the possibility of adding another right back to their ranks. Journalist Fabrizio Romano reports that AC Milan are in contacts with Manchester United about Dalot. As reported by acmilaninfo.com, Dalot has been on Milan’s radar since April.

AC Milan have asked Diogo Dalot on loan with option to make the transfer permanent at the end of the season. Manchester United are open to let the Portuguese defender leave but only on a permanent deal. At the moment, the two clubs haven’t reached an agreement.

Manchester United signed Diogo Dalot in 2018 for a figure of 22 million euros from Porto. The Portuguese right back was a specific request of former coach Jose Mourinho. The 21-year-old has been unable to secure e regular spot at Old Trafford and is looking for opportunities elsewhere.
