Sassuolo have reached a deal to sign Manuel Locatelli from AC Milan with both clubs agreeing a fee for his transfer.
AC Milan are about to sell Manuel Locatelli to Sassuolo. The Italian midfielder has been pushing for more first-team opportunities but now it’s clear that it would be hard for Gattuso to remove one of the three regular starters in midfielder in order to make room for him.
The two clubs had a fruitful meeting today to discuss a transfer and it seems that an agreement has been reached. Locatelli should move to Sassuolo for a total of around 11-12 million euros, but the Rossoneri could retain a buy-back clause.
The 20 year old central midfielder has made 63 appearances for the Rossoneri, scoring 2 goals, since his breakthrough in 2016. The Italian youngster is a product of Milan Primavera and is widely considered a player of great perspective. Hopefully his time at Sassuolo would Locatelli to fully express his potential.
