AC Milan consider selling Rebic in the summer

AC Milan are considering selling Ante Rebic at the end of the season reports Tuttosport. The Croatian is under contract until 2025.

Coach Stefano Pioli had planned to deploy a more attacking-minded squad than the one seen in the derby. Both Rafael Leao and Ante Rebic were supposed to start from the first minute on the wings but once again the Croatian was left out because of physical problems.

Throughout his career Rebic at San Siro has never contributed less than in the current season. The 28-year-old left winger has scored 2 goals and provided 2 assists in 15 appearances so far. An ankle injury and a muscle rupture have forced him to skip several matches.

The Rossoneri are not at all pleased with the situation of the Croatian star. The recent injuries and the fluctuating from since his arrival at San Siro have made AC Milan reconsidered the future of Ante Rebic reports Tuttosport. Rebic has time until the end of the season to save his AC Milan career according to the Italian newspaper.

Rafael Leao has been a standout performer this season. The Portuguese talent is finally showcasing his full potential and is about to extend his contract with the Rossoneri in until 2027. Leao is no longer the future of AC Milan but also the present. Thus Rebic risks having a marginal role upon his reentry.

AC Milan purchased Rebic from Eintracht Frankfurt as part of a swap deal involving Andre Silva. The Croatia international has made 79 appearances so far, scoring 25 goals and assisting 17. When in fine form the 28-year-old has proven to be a force to be reckoned with in attack.
