AC Milan complete defender purchase

AC Milan have concluded yet another signing this summer. Technical director Leonardo has closed the arrival of Diego Laxalt from Genoa.

La Gazzetta dello Sport, on the newsstands this morning, dedicates space to Diego Laxalt, the latest idea of the Rossoneri. In the last hours there has been an acceleration for the Uruguayan defender who is just one step away from joining AC Milan.

The figures of this operations are as follows: 14 million euros plus 4 in bonuses, with 11 million that will be “discounted” from the obligated purchase of former AC Milan striker Gianluigi Lapadula who spent last season on loan at Genoa. In the meantime president Preziosi has refused an identical offer made by Zenit.

The 25 year old left back who can cover the entire left flank joined Genoa in 2015. In his three and a half seasons for the Rossoblu he has made 117 appearances and has scored 8 goals. Laxalt has become a regular starter for Uruguay recently and was one of its best players in FIFA’s World Cup this summer in Russia.
