AC Milan facing tough dilemma for two players

AC Milan will reflect on what to do with Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Brahim Diaz in the coming months according to reports.

Besides the transfer market, at the end of the season AC Milan will make a serious reflection on the situation of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Brahim Diaz reports MilanNews.it.

The contract of the Swedish giant expires in six months and Ibrahimovic is set to become 41 years old next season. Zlatan continues to be a lethal force in attack scoring 8 goals and assisting 2 in 19 appearances so far with an average of one goal every 134 minutes. At the same time, Zlatan remains injury-prone. After missing half of last year the same situation is being repeated with Ibra often leaving the pitch in advance this season.

This is why the club and the player himself in the spring will sit down to discuss his future. The ideal scenario for AC Milan would be the permanence of Ibrahimovic but no longer as first choice striker (also because  age-related injuries) but as an experienced player who can have a significant impact in the last 20 minutes of the match.

Different dilemma for Brahim Diaz. During the summer AC Milan decided not to sign another attacking midfielder relying only on the former Real Madrid. The decision clearly didn’t paid off with Stefano Pioli lacking a proper replacement when Diaz is missing or out of form.

The Rossoneri will make a considerable investment to bring in a new attacking midfielder. Someone that can give new options to coach Stefano Pioli and also challenge Brahim Diaz for a regular spot in the starting eleven. The future of the Spanish midfielder needs to be clarified too with Diaz currently on loan at the Rossoneri.
