AC Milan have 3 alternatives if Botman talks fail

AC Milan have three alternatives if talks with Lille for Sven Botman fail. Diallo, Bade and Senesi are on Maldini’s list.

In these days Maldini and Massara will try to understand if there is room for negotiation with Lille for Sven Botman. The Netherlands defender is still AC Milan’s number one pick but if an agreement is not possible the Rossoneri will open talks with other players.

According to Tuttosport, the alternatives are not lacking. The first two names are again from France. Paris Saint-Germain centre back Abdou Diallo is a more feasible target but AC Milan are not convinced by the 25 million euros asking price. The Rossoneri consider that a high fee for a player that is not a regular starter.

An old target of AC Milan is Loic Bade. The 21-year-old centre back did great with Lens and made a summer move to Rennes for 17 million euros. His new adventure at Rennes has been a bit turbulent in and out of the first team.

A very intriguing name is that of Marcos Senesi. The 24-year-old left-footed defender has done great with Feyenoord since his arrival in 2019. Senesi has established himself as one of the best centre backs in Netherlands. The Argentine was close to making a summer move to Napoli but ultimately stayed at Feyenoord.

The Attila Szalai option seems to be fading with the player preferring a move in the summer. Ahmedhodzic, Umtiti and Malang Sarr have been offered to AC Milan but they are not considered valid alternatives by the management.
