AC Milan need 3 signings to truly challenge Inter for the Scudetto

AC Milan have done very good so far but the Rossoneri need three signing in order to challenge Inter for the Scudetto.

The disappointing draw against Juventus risks leaving AC Milan quite behind Inter and ultimately end any hopes for the Scudetto. The Rossoneri were clearly the better side against the Bianconeri, who failed to make a single shot on goal, but lacked the final touch against a team that missed several key players.

The goalless draw against Juventus highlighted once again AC Milan’s desperate need for new signings. The Rossoneri are about to complete the purchase of young striker Marko Lazetic but Stefano Pioli needs much more in order to compete against Inter who are fighting for the second Scudetto in a row.

AC Milan need three signings in order to make the next step according to Calciomercato. The first is obviously a new centre back. Milan must sign a reliable defender to be tested also in view of next season. With the injury of Simon Kjaer the Red and Blacks have lost a key player and a leader at the same time.

A strong attacking midfielder should be second on Paolo Maldini’s to-do list. Brahim Diaz has been a shadow of his former self ever since he recovered from Covid. The Spanish talent has failed to find the back of the net since his return. AC Milan opted not to sign a new attacking midfielder during the summer and are now paying the price of their actions.

The third and final signing AC Milan need in order to truly challenge for the Scudetto is a right winger. Junior Messias has been inconsistent and often injured. On the other hand, Alexis Saelemakers is not a typical winger. The Belgium is a very useful player for Pioli’s game but scoring goals is not one of his best traits. The Rossoneri should not have spared for Romain Faivre during the summer.
