AC Milan new coach: 6 names that could succeed Gattuso

It’s time to analyze the candidates that AC Milan are considering for Gattuso’s job. From Simone Inzaghi to Jose Mourinho these are the names linked with Milan.

Roberto De Zerbi is another Italian alternative for the bench. The 39-year-old is a new name in Serie A but he caused big headaches to Milan with his Benevento side last year, defeating the Rossoneri and drawing at San Siro despite being relegated.

This season he was appointed coach of Sassuolo earning praise for his possession-based, attacking football. His potential appointment as Milan coach would be a courageous decision but he has some characteristics fit for the Rossoneri club.

De Zerbi’s preferred game system is the 4-3-3 used by Gatuso in the past. He relies on young footballers, plays attacking football and his arrival could help Milan convince Stefanso Sensi and Berardi to follow him at San Siro.

Roberto De Zerbi is also a former player of AC Milan. He started his football career at the Rossoneri’s youth ranks and also represented Napoli for two season.

De Zerbi is one of the most promising Italian managers Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola admitting he’s keeping tabs on his work at Sassuolo. “They talked to me very well about him and his teams. He makes proactive football. He is a mini-Guardiola
