AC Milan make offer for Fiorentina star

AC Milan sports director Massimiliano Mirabelli continues to work relentlessly on the market and Fiorentina’s central midfielder is his latest target.

AC Milan are looking for a strong striker to solve an obvious problem in the offensive area. However the club is well aware that reinforcements are needed even in midfield. Gennaro Gattuso has already provided his indications: players of international experience are needed, able to set an example for others, and above all ductile from a tactical point of view.

Club and coach would have identified Fiorentina’s Jordan Veretout as a potential target. This year, in his first year in Serie A, he has done important things for the Viola and has attracted the attention of many teams, in Italy and beyond. In 38 appearances Veretout scored 10 goals and assisted 2, excellent numbers for a central midfielder.

La Nazione reports that, waiting to know UEFA’s judgment on potential sanctions, the Rossoneri have set their sights on the French midfielder, already presenting an offer to Fiorentina. A the moment Fiorentina are not interested in selling but things may change soon. Massimiliano Mirabelli reportedly has offered Manuel Locatelli and Ignazio Abate in exchange plus cash, an unknown figure (probably no more than 5 million).
